Produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 is set to redefine cinematic experiences, rolling out not just across India but also in global markets like North America, the U.K., U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Indian audiences can catch this high-energy spectacle at the nation’s first Dolby Cinema, launched this month at City Pride Multiplexes in Kharadi, Pune. The exhibitor is already planning to extend this premium format to cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Kochi, and Ulikkal, promising a wider reach.

This milestone builds on a long-standing partnership between YRF and Dolby, which has consistently elevated Indian filmmaking. From Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) pioneering Dolby Audio to Dhoom 3 (2013) leading the charge with Dolby Atmos, and the 2020 launch of Dolby Atmos Music with the “Best of YRF” album, the collaboration has a rich history. Now, War 2 takes it further with Dolby Cinema’s cutting-edge technology.

Michael Archer, VP of worldwide cinema sales at Dolby Laboratories, shared, “Our decades-long journey with Yash Raj Films has been filled with breakthroughs, and War 2 (Hindi and Telugu) launching in Dolby Cinema on August 14 marks a new era for Indian cinema experiences, both locally and globally.” Rohan Malhotra, YRF’s VP of distribution, echoed this sentiment: “At YRF, we’re dedicated to immersive storytelling. From Dolby Audio in the ‘90s to Dolby Cinema today, we aim to transport audiences into the heart of our narratives.”

Dolby Cinema enhances the experience with Dolby Vision’s vivid colors and contrast, paired with Dolby Atmos’ surround sound, all within theaters boasting curved screens, premium seating, and dynamic lighting to keep you fully engaged. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 will also screen in Imax cinemas across North America, the Middle East, U.K., Europe, APAC, Africa, and Southeast Asia, amplifying its global appeal.
