A video of children swimming in a waterlogged stretch outside Goregaon’s Oberoi Mall has taken social media by storm. The footage shows the kids gleefully splashing in the murky brown rainwater, transforming the flooded entrance into an impromptu playground while onlookers filmed the scene.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged citizens to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. It also cautioned about hidden dangers in the murky waters, including potholes, open manholes, and strong currents. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall in the coming hours. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed teams across the city and nearby districts to manage emergencies.
